The Taylor Stitch Surplus Shirt is a men's fatigue shirt in 9.5 ounce organic cotton reverse sateen, heavy enough to wear as a shirt jacket over a tee. Reverse sateen turns the smooth face of the fabric inward, which leaves the outside dry and matte rather than glossy, and gives the shirt a substantial hand that holds a shape.

Two patch chest pockets close with button-through flaps, and the left carries a pen slot. It is washed for a lived-in feel from the start, so nothing about it needs breaking in. Field Olive is the classic military register, and it pairs with the Surplus Pant if you want the full set.

DavProCo brought the Surplus Shirt into our local shop because it does the work of a light jacket while still being a shirt. Wear it open over a tee and it reads as deliberate.
